Job Description:

We are looking to hire a full-time fabric cutter with a strong knowledge and understanding of textiles in relation to the process of laying and cutting fabric, and manufacturing clothing. We are also willing to train the right candidate with no experience; this person will possess a desire to learn and master a new trade.

The fabric cutter’s main responsibility will be laying fabric, cutting fabrics with an industrial cutting machine, reading and understanding markers, and keeping an organized record of materials for the floor manager. This position requires an individual that will need to express critical thinking skills in order to problem solve and carry out day to day tasks. This position does require some math skill. Some of the requirements for this position will include:

· 1+ years’ experience in fabric cutting preferred

· However, we are willing to train the right person

· Requires a Strong willingness to learn and develop knife cutting skills

· Must be able to stand/be on their feet all day and lift/move large bolts of fabric

· Keep an organized record of cut materials

· Strong math skills

· Pull fabrics for cuts (Must be able to lift 50 lb.)

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision within a fast -paced dynamic environment

· Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others.

· Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.

· Ability to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
