Job description
The Quality Control Lead works closely with the Production Floor Leads and the Production Manager to provide organizational support and efficient production practices on the floor daily. This person should be able to ensure consistent work for all inspectors throughout the day, maximize efficiency within the department, and provide feedback to inspectors on brand standards. A successful Quality Control Lead will be recognized as a leader on the floor, providing direction to inspectors throughout the day.

Essential functions:

• Oversee production and performance of QC team
  Delegate tasks and communicate project priorities, assigning placement and direction of QC team
  Make a continuous effort to improve efficiency and quality of team’s inspection processes
  Communicate with QC team about their performance, providing timely feedback to minimize mistakes
  Provide training when needed
  Work consistently with Production Manager to know what the production schedule entails and prepare for upcoming projects, following direction for project priorities
  Pull completed garments from production floor, recording count accurately, and distribute to QC team
  Deliver fixes to Sewing Floor Lead addressing any sewing mistakes immediately to minimize the continuance of mistakes
  Pull final passed inspection work from QC team and organize by size in bundling area
  Record QC operator output individually on personal tally sheet
  Clearly communicate goals to QC team and motivate team to meet goals
  Spot check QC team’s work and provide retraining if needed
  Pull bundles of passed inspection work to embroidery/SP or inventory tables by size and record delivered goods on order sheet or inventory sheet; communicate with Inventory Coordinator to confirm sizes and quantities
  Complete end of day duties described on checklist
  Report day’s production and fail rate to Production Manager at EOD
  Create and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs)
