Do you have a mechanical aptitude and have proven success working on customer facing projects? Then consider talking to Coastal Equipment regarding an Account Manager Role.
We are searching for a driven and energetic person willing to learn and grow in the field of Materials Handling. We advise and sell pre-engineered customized solutions to our primarily Maine based clients. Our clients are in manufacturing, food processing and distribution industries.
A background in industrial sales, engineering, or construction would be a plus. The sales territory will include a combination of current and new accounts in Maine and New England. Training will consist of on-the-job training with an established mentorship program. We have an attractive compensation and benefits program, and will support a sales ramp period while training.
Responsibilities:
Become familiar with our products and services
Engage in all facets of the business to learn the end-to-end process
Build relationships and provide support for clients by listening and learning about their needs
Collaborate with clients and the Coastal Equipment team on viable solutions
Engage directly and consistently with our vendors to ensure safe and effective engineered solutions for our clients
Achieve sales goals by developing client relationships
Follow up several times throughout the sales cycle to ensure needs are being met
Present and demonstrate the value of our products, solution, and services to prospective clients
Stay current on company offerings and industry trends
Plan, organize, and schedule territory development
Requirements:
Associates Degree or applicable experience will be considered
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience in sales, industrial sales, or related fields desired
The candidate will demonstrate and/or be willing to attend company sponsored training for:
Microsoft Excel and Word
AutoCAD or Solidworks
Demonstrate drive, leadership and independence
The ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
Effective real time communication skills, with an emphasis on phone, face to face conversations.

Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: Salary; salary + commission; or commission-only plans available.
Salary plans will be developed based on the applicant’s experience.
