Primary Purpose:

The primary purpose of this position is to load/unload trucks and transport materials internally via forklift, in order to assist with the operations in the manufacturing of skylight and sky system component parts according to production schedules, standards, and plans.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Performs work according to Job Instructions (J.I.’s) assigned to the position

Supply processing and assembly areas with the necessary supplies to produce the products

Transport inventory in and out of the parts supply area for the various departments supported

Perform accurate SAP transactions

Ensures production, quality and safety standards are met

Performs cleaning and maintaining of 5’s practices

Performs other assignments as directed by local supervision

 

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED is preferred

Experience operating a Forklift required/ Forklift Certification preferred

Experience in a production environment is required

Experience with SAP in issuing and confirming components as well as the process in SAP to load and unload truck

Must be able to key information into a computer with accuracy

Must be a self-starter with good organizational skills

Good math skills are required

Must be able to read and follow production plans

Understanding of metric measurement systems is preferred

Experience reading and utilizing blueprints is preferred

Must be able to work 2nd shift as production demands

Must be able to work overtime and on weekends as needed

Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position
