Verrill Presents: Understanding Maine’s Proposed Paid Family and Medical Leave Program Rules

On May 20, the Maine Department of Labor published draft proposed rules governing Maine’s recently enacted Paid Family and Medical Leave program. The rules provide some clarity as to the DOL’s proposed implementation of the Program, as well as information concerning employers’ responsibilities and employee rights. Join Peter Gore of Maine Street Solutions, and Tawny Alvarez of Verrill as they discuss the proposed rule and provide employers with a better understanding of what the proposed rules mean for Maine’s workforce, how the proposed rules inter-relate with statutory obligations, and what opportunities businesses have to voice their support or concerns regarding the proposed rules.
