MAME’s 2026 Summit and Gubernatorial Forum

Friday May 8th 2026 | 8:00AM-4:00PM | The Point 345 Clarks Pond Pkwy South Portland, ME 04106

We will be back at The Point for our 2026 Annual Summit and Gubernatorial Forum. This event will bring together industry leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing Maine manufacturing. This year’s Summit will feature two panel discussions, and conclude with our first Gubernatorial Forum. MAME’s Employee Growth Service Committee will have a workforce development presence on the floor, so you will be able to engage with them directly. We also have a very strong lineup of exhibitors to help with your business performance needs.

Advanced Manufacturing Panel: The Roux Institute at Northeastern University and the UMaine Advanced Manufacturing Center partnered with Kennebec Technologies and Elmet Technologies through Maine’s Smart Manufacturing Roadmap program to conduct structured site assessments, technology maturity diagnostics, and leadership and workforce surveys, and to build tailored digital transformation roadmaps for each company. At the core of the approach is co-design: rather than imposing new technology from the top down, the roadmaps are built with employees to ensure that the right information reaches the right people, in the right form, at the right moment — accelerating decision-making on the shop floor and giving workers the tools they need to quickly recognize and respond to process disruptions and upsets.

Youth Panel: Hear directly from students about their experiences in Career & Technical Education, what is shaping their career interests, and how Maine manufacturers can better connect with the next generation of talent.

Partner Presentations: Maine Department of Labor – Workforce Development Resources for Manufacturers. University of Maine – Materials Exchange Program Overview.

Keynote Speaker: Senator Susan Collins. Michael Duguay, Commissioner Maine Department of Economic and Community Development

Gubernatorial Forum: Hear from candidates for Governor of Maine as they discuss issues shaping Maine’s economy, workforce, and business climate.

Candidate Networking: An opportunity for attendees to connect directly with the candidates and continue conversations with fellow manufacturers and industry partners.
